Our Leadership Team

Director

Ranna Raval

Ms. Raval is a Montessori Educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching and administration. She holds a Master's in Educational Leadership with a focus on Montessori Pedagogy. Her work in Montessori education reflects her passion for a high quality education program that involves a whole child approach. Her personal experience (her own children attended a Montessori school) has provided unique insight and affirmation that an authentic Montessori curriculum enables each child to reach their full potential.

Assistant Director

Kathleen Austin

Ms. Austin has worked within the Montessori community as a Primary Lead Guide, Substitute Guide, and as a Course Assistant for the Primary training program at Montessori Institute of North Texas. She holds a B.A. in Childhood Development, both 0-3 and 3-6 diplomas from the Association Montessori Internationale, and a Master’s in Childhood Education with a Montessori Concentration. She is passionate about the Montessori philosophy and dedicated to making it more accessible to all children.

Head of School

Leslie Lozano-Whitmore

Ms. Whitmore founded Liberated Montessori in 2013.  Supported by over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, both as a Montessori Guide and in leadership roles, her primary goal is to provide children who may not typically have access to the Montessori Method, with the opportunity to benefit from this tried and true educational approach.  She is committed to reaching and serving children from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on those from underrepresented communities.
